Parents Club would like to welcome you to Comet Hill Primary School and hope you have an enjoyable association with the school. The following is a guide to what Parents Club is all about and we would like to invite you to become a member of our successful organisation
Aims and Objectives
To provide an opportunity for all parents to discuss issues concerned with the welfare and the general education policy of the school and to assist in the development of a shared parent view. To assist the School Council by having Parent Club representation.
- Raise and expend funds for the benefit of the school
- To assist in the co-ordination of activities and to liaise with other state bodies organised to promote the welfare of all state schools.
- Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month being either morning or night in the staffroom.
- Membership is currently $1.00
The Principal attends each meeting and informs us of what’s happening within the school and of State Education issues. She also answers any questions you may have.
Guest speakers and or demonstrators are sometimes invited.
Fundraising
Comet Hill has many fundraising activities. The Swap Meet is our largest fundraiser. Parents are invited to enquire about ways in which you can assist our school to improve the quality of the play equipment and schools grounds for children.
